What is your connection to nature?

My favorite medicine. Best classroom and teacher. Top therapist.  Knows when to get your out of your head or back in it.

Backcountry hiking saved my life!

Healing and humbling. How it shapes us. How it connects us!

Reminding us we are part of a whole and working in a system that we have only started exploring.

What is your connection to art?

Some of my favorite first memories.

Exhibiting and commissioning art since 1998.

Grateful for finding Geology to use both scientific+artistic (creative) mind.

Full-time artist 2009 - 2010  -> Helped pay for graduate school!

Science advisor for Artist-in-Residence program in Grand Canyon National Park 2014-2016. Observed the stronger transformative power of art over science.

Facepainting in local area since 2016! CIAA Member. River Arts Kamiah volunteer co-Director 2024-2025oct.

What is your connection to Idaho?

2001. Geology student. Dropped off at the base of a mountain. 10 hours to map the geology and find my way back to camp.

Trees so tall! First forest hugs.

Wow. So much geology to uncover!

A new vision to come back to this beautiful Gem State. 2016 - Forest Hydrologist, Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. 2021 - Professional Geologist, registered in State of Idaho.

Feeling the sweet embrace from the wild rivers, lichen rock, and mossy trees still. Proud to call Kamiah my home after 1o years.
